- Mintz also managed the divestiture of Dura's Canadian rights to Entex LA, a branded cough/cold medication.

- Mintz worked with the global development team in coordinating market evaluations and early development of Visudyne in Japan and China.
- Mintz also helped facilitate relationships between Ciba Vision Japan and the Japanese subsidiaries of Coherent and Zeiss.

- Hamamatsu is a leading manufacturer of devices for generation and measurement of infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light. Its products include photodiodes, photomultiplier tubes, scientific light sources, infrared detectors, photoconductive cells, and imaging devices. Hamamatsu developed the first laser approved for use with QLT's cancer therapy Photofrin.
- Mintz interfaced with Hamamatsu in the promotion of Photofrin in Japan and in discussions to introduce a low-cost laser for expanding the user base of Photofrin.

- Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industry develops a broad range of technologies from tanker ships to aerospace products and medical equipment. IHI developed a laser for activation of QLTs Photofrin for sale in Japan.
- Mintz interfaced with IHI in the promotion of Photofrin in Japan to help drive interest in their laser. He also held discussions with IHI to introduce a low-cost laser for the Japanese market.

- Mintz worked with Zeiss' Japanese subsidiary during the preparation for clinical studies of Visudyne in Japan, facilitating coordination among QLT's partners Ciba Vision KK, Zeiss, and Coherent.

- Coherent is a leading provider of laser equipment for industrial and medical applications. The company developed the first laser approved for use with Photofrin in the U.S.
- Utilizing semiconductor laser technology, Coherent and Zeiss developed the 690 nm diode lasers used for the activation of Visudyne in the treatment of wet form of age-related macular degeneration.
- Mintz worked with Coherents US sales force in promotion of Photofrin and with Coherent's Japanese subsidiary during the preparation for clinical studies of Visudyne in Japan.

- Diomed Lasers manufactures semiconductor-based medical lasers and developed the low-cost laser option for activation of Photofrin. Previously available devices required significant capital and maintenance, limiting the potential sites Photofrin could be used.
- Mintz worked closely with the UK based manufacturer to establish partnerships with interested Japanese distribution candidates in a program designed to expand the Japanese user base.
