Creating an Incubator

Challenge:

To develop a plan for Korean Healthcare and Scientific startups to open a technology incubator and begin company operations in San Diego. Development included effective education on how to start, fund and operate technology companies in the United States.

Action:

Mintz researched the market opportunity, reviewed the organization’s mission and objectives, and met with decision makers at Korean start up companies. He developed a visionary plan for business opportunities based on feedback related to company missions, markets and operational approaches. Mintz also directly tackled the tough issues related to the equity ownership and financing for a foreign owned business, and gave candid recommendations to incubator leadership.

Results:

The Korean group accepted and incorporated all of Mintz’ strategic recommendations and plans. The President of the group expressed an interest in having Mintz run the Incubator upon launch in the future.
